Furnace repairs and costs rise as temperature drops in Ontario
Some people in Toronto, GTA and especially in the north part of GTA have been feeling the effects of cold weather even inside their homes.
Furnace companies have been very busy in the past week trying to get to every customer needing heat. Angela Brawn has been using her stove to keep her home warm for 2 days after her furnace stopped working. At one point Angela said her temperature dropped to 120 C and she kept her stove running for few hours to warm up her home. Angela says she called few companies who promised to send technicians but for some reason they never showed up. She finally was advised by one of her friends to call DeMark Home Ontario who sent their technician Robert that same day to fix her furnace.
There are number of reasons why furnaces can stop working including ice build up in the chimney, dirty filters, overheat and many more because it is working much harder during cold weather.
