What is Enbridge water heater rental program?

Since 2008 as a part of the Enbridge Open Bill Access Program, customers now have an option to upgrade to a brand new energy efficient hot water heater with other water heater providers such as Summitt Home Services, National Home Services and other third party providers and still stay on the Enbridge water heater rental billing program. This means bill still comes from Enbridge but if you require any service you will need to contact your rental water heater provider for any repair or maintenance related issues. Some customers who are currently renting their water heaters from Reliance Home Comfort may be receiving a separate Reliance bill. In this case those looking to switch back to Enbridge water heater rental billing program can do so by upgrading to a new energy efficient water heater with a rental provider who is participating the Enbridge Billing Service. However it is best to consult with your existing water heater provider prior to removing your old water heater to learn about any if any removal or return cost.
