Can somebody tell me whether it is required to do annual maintenance for furnace and AC, is it worth the money?
Hi AnnaP, our funrace is 26 years old we are looking to replace it now as it is no longer energy efficient, however the only reason it lasted us so long because we had service maintenace done on both our furnace and Ac every second year. Annual maintenance might be a good idea, but i suggest instead of paying money every year just for the maintenance get a protection program which includes annual maintenance it its about $20 a months but that will not only give you an annual maintenance but will cover you for the repairs. How this helps
I think its best to do maintenance once in a while as that way you can discover any potential problems before they actually happen and thay will save you lots of money on repairs and replacement
I Just had tune up done on my furnace before winter kicked in and lucky my that i did this tune up, it turned out that my furnace had a cracked heat exchanger which was leaking gases into house which is very dangerous. So get your check up done before the winter you never know in which condition your furnace is
