My current water heater is 15 years old and its on its last leg. I’ve been having problems with it for the last year and a half and I think its time for a replacement. I’ve only ever had traditional water heaters in my home, but i’m considering the switch over to tankless. What’s your opinion on tankless vs. traditional water heaters. Should I get a tankless?
June 29, 2019 at 10:37 pm #18779HassantvParticipantSomething to consider is that a tankless will never run out of hot water. You’ll get endless hot water no matter how many people are using it. I’ve had my tankless unit for 5 years and i’ve had a great experience. Theyre also energy efficient since they don’t heat the water when its not being used.

I’ve had some savings which accumulate over time and the endless hot water is a great perk. Rinnai’s are supposed to last longer than typical water heaters. I don’t regret switching over from my old water tank.

I have a lot more room in my basement now since its hung up on the wall. Seems like some people save money with tanklesses but others pay more or less the same on utilities as before. I’ve saved a bit of money on my utilities since switching.
