We had a problem where thermostat would not hold the temperature, it turned out it was the defective thermostast, it would show the temperature setting but wouldnt keep there. Turned out the thermostat was defective and when we replaced it, the problem went away. Possibly it is your thermostat, try replacing it and see if that eliminates the problem
[email protected]KeymasterYou have other options. There are number of companies out there doing the same thing, upgrading hot water heaters and most of them will upgrade your venting free of charge. I had mine done not too long ago, we had a guy come to our door and explained it very thoroughly to us, it is all under Enbridge bill and everything was free of charge. Google companies such as National, Summitt, Reliance and there are few other small companies, but be sure to read terms and conditions for the term as some of them including Direct Energy lock you for a long term contract now. You dont have to pay for the new installation, one of those other companies will do it free of charge.
