I think its best to do maintenance once in a while as that way you can discover any potential problems before they actually happen and thay will save you lots of money on repairs and replacement
maxputMemberI had similar problem they didnt want to replace my 10 years old hot water heater, so i called another supplier-Summitt Energy who came and replaced it free of charge and i got a cheaper rental fee. Then i had to call Direct Energy back and ask them for the removal authorization number for my hot water heater and after they found out that i switched companies they tried to convince me to go back to them and that they would even come and replace my new Summitt tankd with their new. What a scam they even tried to match their rental fee. They didnt want to replace my tank in the first place but when i told them i switched companies they wanted me back and were even to give me a new unit.

I had different companies offer me replacement which was for a reasonalble price and as for the fixing my old one nobody can guarantee that it will be fixed and last me for a while, which concerns me. I dont want to be spending money on serviing it if it will not last me. Any ideas whether its best to just service it or to buy a new one? Any advice would be appreciated

You are even asking of course it is wrth to buy a new one after 10 years especially if there are problems with your olf furnace. I even suggest renting a furnace that way you are fully covered and do not need to be responsible for any repairs, gives a piece of mind

In addition it takes a very long time for the furnace to warm up the house and still it feel very uncomfortable, the house has cold spots and the air is not disrtibuted evenly. Our old house didnt have this problem and it would warm up in less than 10 minutes. Funny enough this furnace is only 5 years old and i am not sure whether the problem is with the fact that it is a mid efficinecy furnace or is there something wrong with it? Does anybody else have this problem? what’s your suggestions?
Listen if your furnace caused you head ache then do something about it but if it works fine keep it thats all i gotta say
maxputMemberHey guys, I’m planning to change my water heater.. do I need to upgrade my venting for this conventional water tank?
maxputMemberI had the same problem before as well. After trying numerous options, the fix I fouund was replacing my 20 yr old ac unit with a new one 🙂
