HVAC Enbridge Rebates IESO Incentive up to $2750
Enbridge Rebates – Home Energy Conservation Program
If you are an Enbridge customer who is considering home energy upgrades you can receive up to $2100 in Enbridge Rebates and up to $650 IESO Incentive. Enbridge Gas Distribution is continuing The Home Energy Conservation Program in 2017 for customers in York Region, the City of Toronto (including the GTA), and select areas of Peel, Durham, Ottawa and Niagara which helps customers in improving their home’s energy efficiency with Enbridge Rebates. Upgrades can include high efficiency furnace, high efficiency hot water heater, attic insulation and more. Separately from Enbridge Rebates, IESO is also offering customers up to $650 in incentives to upgrade old heating and cooling systems to new high efficiency models.
The best part about the Enbridge Rebates and IESO Incentive Program is that you have many payment options when upgrading your furnace, air conditioner and hot water heater. If an upfront purchase upgrade is not in the budget at this time, you can Rent to Own or even Finance your equipment. You are not required to purchase the equipment and pay the cost upfront, there are many rental and financing options available. Getting Started with the Enbridge Rebates – Home Energy Conservation Program:
1 Qualification
- You must have an active Enbridge Gas Account in good standing; the primary heat source for the home must be natural gas.
- You must reside in one of the designated qualifying communities:
York Region, the City of Toronto (including the GTA), and select areas of Peel, Durham, Ottawa and Niagara
2 Energy Audit
You are required to complete an energy audit to assess your home’s current energy efficiency and to receive your home’s energy score. DeMark Home Ontario will schedule this audit for you with an Enbridge approved Certified Energy Auditor. The energy audit will reveal areas where you can make improvements (called retrofits) to improve your home’s energy efficiency, in turn helping you conserve energy and save money. First Energy Audit Cost is $395.50 including HST less $150 instant Enbridge Rebate, so you will only pay $245.50.
3 Upgrades Needed
Implement a minimum of 2 of the following recommended qualified energy upgrades:
- High efficiency space heating system installation (gas furnace/boiler)
- High efficiency water heating system installation (gas)
- Attic insulation upgrade
- Basement wall insulation upgrade
- Wall insulation upgrade
- Air sealing (minimum 10%)
- Window replacement
- Drain water heat recovery system installation
- Exposed Floor Insulation
4 Post-Retrofit Energy Audit
Complete Post- Retrofit Energy Audit after the upgrades are done to see your home’s new and improved energy score. Second Energy Audit Cost is $169.50 including HST. DeMark Home Ontario will schedule your second Post-Retrofit Energy Audit for you.
Post-Retrofit Incentive-Enbridge Rates
$1,600 for achieving 25% – 49% in gas savings as per final energy audit$500 covering the full energy audit costs, not including HST. An instant rebate of $150 will be applied to the first audit and $350 for the remainder of the audit cost will be reimbursed in the total remaining incentive amount. Total amount of incentive to homeowner is $1450 $2,100 for achieving 50% or above in gas savings as per final energy audit $500 covering the full energy audit costs, not including HST. An instant rebate of $150 will be applied to the first audit and $350 for the remainder of the audit cost will be reimbursed in the total remaining incentive amount. Total amount of incentive to homeowner is $1950
IESO Incentive
You can receive up to $650 in IESO Rebates when installing new High Efficiency Furnace and Air Conditioner between Jan 1, 2017 and Dec 31, 2017.You will receive a:$250 incentive when you replace your existing furnace with new high efficiency furnace (eligible model) equipped with an ECM (Electronically Commutated Motor).$250 incentive when you purchase and install a new ENERGY STAR certified central air conditioning (CAC) system that satisfies at least a 14.5 SEER and 12 EER.
$400 incentive when you purchase and install an ENERGY STAR certified CAC system that satisfies at least a 15 SEER and 12.5 EER.
To receive IESO Incentive your HVAC equipment will need to be installed by a fully licensed and registered HVAC company such as DeMark Home Ontario. After the installation your application for the incentive will be submitted online and you will receive a check from IESO within 6-8 weeks from the installation.
